None of the reporters present seem to have ever worked in a private office with budgets. None of them understood that budgets are estimates. Actual spending for a year cannot be predicted, especially when her staff is missing one full time employee and the budget was created long before the office was down 2 vital people. Of course the guy questioned by the State Police about overtime accumulated a lot of it. He was forced to do the job of 2 people along with learning the job.
The reporters also didn’t understand that SOMEBODY told the State Police they needed to investigate. I will find out who that was. I believe it was a political hit job by the left to promote their newly found opponent to Kathy who didn’t bother getting signatures to run in the primary. It’s so much easier to get on the ballot when the party just picks you. #Democracy
I did ask one question – are department heads receiving monthly spending vs budget reports from the County Auditor or the Treasurer’s office? Kathy’s answer was no. Department heads are supposed to track spending themselves? Again, nothing like how private sector business is run.
One reporter and another lady mentioned Kathy paying back the $400,000. Personally? That’s insane. The office? How many people should be fired to cover $400,000 when the office is already short staffed?

Since I was downtown, I took a walk to where the construction is happening. I have no explanation for this mess, ask your council member. The sidewalk(s) are open.
From word one I knew this was a political hit job by the Leftist Progressive Marxist Democrats when I read the article & comments a few weeks ago. Their fingerprints were all over it. Apparently the opponent is too LAZY to get signatures to get on the ballot. That says a lot.

This issue sounds like a whole lot of nothing…if the office is down 2 full-time people and the office has to meet all of the state laws and other requirements = sounds like there was 1 person trying to do the jobs of three people!
But why isn’t there an investigation into EVERY office in the McLean County government?
Why single-out the County Clerks Office?
Because a democrat is running. They want to control elections
Why aren’t we hearing from the republicans on the board? Aren’t there like 6 of them?

Much ado about nothing. I plan to vote for her. Like I said before, I don’t care what letter is behind her name. She’s done a good job and isn’t some crazy election denier.
Haha that lady in the third video… Her hoodie (what a slob and sloppy dresser), says “Big Fan of Human Rights” in the gay rainbow flag colors. What a joke.
And there are 8 Republicans on the board. I personally told Kathy it is a shame the 8 Republican board men refused to publicly defender her from the Democratic hitjob or praise her for doing a good job, making executive decisions, and securing our elections with the new software. Not surprising with Republicans like this, we lost the county board for the first time in history. Need masculine and conservative men willing to stand up to evil.
