League of Women Voters Survey: Impact on McLean County Elections

By: Diane Benjamin

The League of Women Voters is conducting a survey aimed at creating a Commission like the Bloomington Election Commission is handle all elections in McLean County. They want to take the responsibility away from the elected County Clerk and hand it to unelected bureaucrats that CAN NOT be held accountable by voters. Of course they aren’t saying that out loud.

Take the survey here: LWV survey

They are attacking free and fair elections with policies that put “appointed” people like Diana Hauman in charge of elections. Make your voice heard!

LWV should be working to inform voters about filing to run for local offices and then promote voting. Evidently they prefer unopposed candidates to democracy. The last local election had a bunch of them and voter participation is dismal.

Proving they aren’t serious about “voter confusion”, they opposed abolishing the Bloomington Election Commission when it was on the ballot. That would have solved the problem. Instead they now have one of their supporters on the BEC Board

  1. How exactly is the League of Women’s Voters attacking free elections with a survey? They are not attacking anything connected to free and fair elections.

Your bias against League of Women’s Voters is very well documented on this blog. You have written a lot of falsehoods about the League of Women’s Voters.

They were founded over a 100 years ago and fought for the right for women to vote. The fact that women have the right to vote today is because of dedication of the League of Women’s Voters.

The League also supported and ran Presidential debates. They will be around long after this blog is gone.

    1. @ League

In the process of defending the LWV, you are placing your hatred of men right out in front for everyone to witness. Did you know that all women got the right to vote before all men did? Did you know that the vast majority of women back then didn’t want the right to vote? Talk about falsehoods and bias. Sheesh. And you trot out something from over 100 years ago and act as if the LWV is somehow relevant today because of it? Please….

Take your misandry somewhere else. I’m so sick of puffed up feminists and their man hating. You’re a dying breed. Feminazis are some of the worst and most hateful people I’ve ever had the displeasure of having to deal with on a daily basis. Feminism has never been good for women. It will NEVER be good for women. This country is so much worse off because of feminazis like you.
