I know, let’s reduce the size and number of lanes that fire engines can navigate. Instead of having the extra room for automobiles to move over, we’ll fill that space with bicycle lanes that no one uses 99% of the time.
And add ‘sidewalk bumpouts’ in residential areas so if the fire truck isn’t going down the middle of the road when they reach an intersection, there’s chance we can get one of those cool ‘firetruck skidding down the road on its side’ scenes like they have on TV and movies!
