Sometime during the day yesterday video of the Connect Transit Board meeting held on 10/27/26 appeared. I was interested in the disposal of the electric buses.
A staff member provided a brief recap that didn’t include any information about revenue, other than they expect some.
No one on the Board asked any questions before voting.
I talked to a guy who road an electric bus when they briefly worked. The outside was totally quiet. Inside generators were so noisy a conversation could not be had with the person next to him. Nobody tested one before buying?
This fiasco cost at least $1.1 million per bus. 12 buses flushed at least $13,200,000.
No problem since it’s all grants. Grants aren’t real money. Sure.
