Tari Renner and Chris Koos just got back or are on the way back from San Francisco! I’m willing to bet it was at your expense since they were attending the US Conference of Mayors. This link shows both signed up to attend: http://usmayors.org/83rdAnnualMeeting/PreRegisteredMayorsPhotos.asp
I’m just going to list some highlights so you can see what you paid for:
Speakers at this years event included:
- Nancy Pelosi
- Hillary Clinton
- President Obama
I didn’t see any major Republican/Conservative speakers, but I assume there must have been a couple.
Here’s an interesting agenda item:
Remarks: Improving Public Education: A pre-K through College Model
Mayor of Chicago
Guess who the next Chair of the US Conference of Mayors is?
Incoming USCM President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake of Baltimore
Google her – she’s been in the news A LOT lately.
This is a link to proposed resolutions: http://usmayors.org/83rdAnnualMeeting/media/resolutions-proposed.pdf
See below for a list passed last year, many are the same.
|Mayors Campaign to End Bullying – Enrolled Cities|
Bloomington is on the list! Maybe if you are the Mayor you are allowed to bully. Rules are for the rest of us.
See if anybody is familiar
USCM Contact: Debra DeHaney-Howard
Resolutions passed last year:
A few of my favorites:
- CITIZENSHIP NOW
- CONDEMNING “RIGHT-TO-DISCRIMINATE” LAWS
- SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS WITH RIGOROUS AND COMPARABLE ASSESSMENTS
- REDUCING THE NATIONAL BURDEN OF STUDENT LOANS
- IN SUPPORT OF RAISING THE FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE
I could add a lot more.
I wonder if conservative mayors have their own conference. Probably not. They don’t need an indoctrination camp, they just do what government is supposed to do without the social engineering.
I bet you can’t wait to find out what this cost you!
