Voting for Dan Brady? I’m not!

By: Diane Benjamin

Dan Brady spent years in the leadership of the ILGOP. He is part of the reason Republicans are a super minority in Illinois. He makes sure Republicans don’t inspire anyone to vote for them.

My large disappointment with Brady goes all the way back to 2010. State Senator James Meeks (D) led an effort in Springfield to free up to 30,000 Chicago Public School students by giving them vouchers.

30,000 kids had a chance at a real education!

Well, go ol’ Dan, who shows up everywhere while doing little to stop democrats, voted NO on that bill. It lost by 12 votes. Of course he received money from teacher’s unions. See this story: https://blnnews.com/2016/08/17/dan-brady-campaign-cash/

If you missed this story from Wirepoints it will blow your mind: https://wirepoints.org/more-failure-at-chicago-public-schools-about-one-third-of-traditional-schools-are-half-empty-or-worse-wirepoints/chicago-public-schools-most-empty-schools/

Dan Brady has now reach a new low:

This so-called Republican can’t remember if he voted for Trump: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/08/20/i-dont-know-illinois-republican-secretary-of-state-nominee-can-not-remember-if-he-voted-for-trump-in-2020/

Maybe he needs to double in a nursing home with Biden if his memory is that bad.

Proving why Republicans are a minority . . .

Dan Brady won’t say if he will vote for Darren Bailey: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/08/23/illinois-gop-secretary-state-nominee-will-not-say-he-voting-gop-governor-nominee/

Obviously Illinois Republicans are happy being a minority. They don’t want a governor using conservative principles to reform corrupt Illinois.

Ron DeSantis proved to Democrats in Florida that conservatism is better than leftist ideology. He will be re-elected in a landslide. Conservatism always wins when average voters hear common sense.

Dan Brady will not get my vote, he would be no different from a democrat anyway. The majority of the ILGOP needs to join the democrat party. They supported a democrat running for governor in the primary. I fully expect them to sabotage Bailey. They despise conservatives! I hope Brady is sent packing.

  1. And yet you and most of the others on here continue to support those losers

OMG no wonder republicans have won 1 general election since 1988

    1. You REALLY need to catch up – it’s not R Vs D. It hasn’t been for a LONG time, anyone who is not “in the club” has the majority of the old guard GOP and the Dems BOTH working against them when they run for office (especially in Illinois and a couple other states, but Illinois is REAL bad).
First, you need to learn how to tell right from wrong, and good from evil/bad if you can manage that, maybe you will begin to see what has been going on for a LONG LONG time – If you know who the Harlem Globetrotters are then you should know who The Washington Generals are – the old guard GOP are the Washington Generals they are in on the whole show and the Globetrotters always win even though the Generals act like they are trying and put on a good show, Oh and the Generals all still get paid. If you need some well known examples of The Generals think Kinzinger, Liz Cheney (and her dad ), The Bushes, McConnell, Dan Brady, Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowsky etc etc etc

  2. Brady has no spine. His protégé Scott Preston is no different. Our choices in the general are
    1. A Democrat who is truthful that they will vote in democrat ways.
    2. A Republican who lies and will vote in Democrat ways.

    Who ever is elected will vote in Democrat ways. To me, my decision comes down to voting for;
    – the person who honest about being a Democrat
    or
    – the Democrat who is lying about being a Republican.

  3. I will never vote for Brady. He and his office basically told me to take a hike when I had an unemployment issue last year when I lost my job due to legislation he helped vote in (SB 1792). I don’t care if he’s the only one on the ballot…he’s lost my vote.

  4. When I see an R by someone’s name on the ballot, why should I trust the are actually a Republican? The Republicans have eff’d up everything by ignoring their false flag Republicans. Voting for a D is a definite no-no, voting for an R is crap-shot.

  5. Our local GOP picked Preston and Brady. Neither are conservative. When I vote, that box will be empty.

    1. Me as well.

I’ve also changed my mind about volunteering for the local republicans. When they’re supporting people like ham and Preston over real Republicans fine no problem. Do your own stuff. And no I won’t be donating anything either.

      1. Vote for specific candidates. Sadly not even the Libertarians are across-the-board good. Here’s my decision tree:
        1) Vote for good candidates that you truly trust, not just they have good marketing
        2) Do Not vote for a bad candidate – skip whatever rule here tells you to. That includes acknowledging it’s okay to cast only one or two votes in a ‘pick three’ race.
        3) Vote Libertarian. Best chance to hit an unknown but good candidate, and counts as a protest vote against the corruption of the two ruling parties.
        4) Vote Republican. “Republicans may not be the solution, but Democrats are the problem”
        5) Skip voting in that particular race.
        6) Never skip voting entirely (i.e. don’t ‘just stay home’)

  6. Dan takes zero initiative and does not use a brain to help locals or constituants that reach out or that speak out. Rather does crazy making or ignores real issues. Not impressed

He’s an ISU /big company tool. Like Kinzinger in many many ways.

He’s using the system and position and set for life. At our expense. Not really seen one thing that does not benefit him. #$_$

He’s no help or spokesperson on state or county matters either -not sure what he does except make money.

    Rich get richer

Rich get richer. Especially in McLean County

  8. He’s just another RINO grifter no better than the grifter presently in office.

States he wants to change the Sec. of State office and drivers license facilities. Another totally clueless politician. I used to purchase license plates for my mother’s car. If you are a senior citizen and meet the requirments you get a reduction in the cost of plates. Every d**n year you had to refile for it filling out the income statement form and then wait for them to verify with the IL IRS. Here’s a bright idea the IL IRS automatically provides that info to the Sec. of State. Dumb politician’s know nothing !!

  9. Brady was also one of those that cruised around and turned in small business that were operating “illegally” during the Pritzker “emergency lockdown order”.

  10. Yes if I recall he went into hiding during Pritzkers covid lockdowns and wasn’t fighting for our rights. Screw Dan Brady.

  11. You are exactly correct!!! As an obvious example of our GOP RINO representation, take a trip to the Peoria metro and you will find that you cannot drive anywhere in the metro area without confronting road and bridge construction. Compare that to the state roads in B/N. Sure, Rt 150 will be repaired by 2027; Route 9 and Veterans Parkway by 2030, but that’s what voters get with the impotent GOP. Senators Turner, Rose and Barickman; Representatives Brady, Caulkins and Sommer (a true Mr. Invisible) are why we don’t receive state money for state road repairs. There are no GOP prospects in the pipeline that warrant much, if any, November consideration. The GOP is a small dog with no teeth and will stay that way for reasons you outlined. Follow that with Bailey telling women they can’t choose to deal with their health issues as they see fit and tell the populous how to live their lives…. screw ’em. The Dems are no better. The Dems tax and redistribute $$ to the millstones of society; the GOP tax and spend on their own spendthrift programs that enhance their influence, power and wealth. It’s past time for something like the FORWARD Party to come forward with a thought toward working for the taxpayer. One can only hope the state municipal pension and HC house of cards will collapse on both do nothing parties. Only then, and with intelligent leadership, can IL begin to recover and move forward

    1. Hey Mr stick, let me buy you a clue. The reason all those Republicans you mentioned don’t get a ton of State money to piss away on local projects is that the Democrats in the House and Senate assign three or four times as much ” discretionary” money to their Democratic colleagues as they do the republicans.

  12. The Libertarians address nearly all of the complaints above. Too bad it will take nearly all true republicans to move over at the same time for Libertarians to have a shot.

      1. Not all do. Vote The Candidate Not The Party applies to every party of any size, including Libertarians.
Tho you also have to be wary of absolutist issues – an otherwise great candidate who fails 1 ‘litmus test’.is probably still a better choice than one whom you agree with on 1 or 2 very important issues but nothing else.

  13. Not getting my vote either. Had an issue within the state ask for his assistance signed a release of information so we could speak with him. And not one call, no appointment absolutely no response.
