Ok, now I can rest because I have heard it all. The “so called” leader in the Republican party is no leader at all. House Leader Tony McCombie is instrumental of total misinformation. People better wake up! I am very tired of hearing the opinions of these elected officials instead of what is lawful and Constitutional.
With the law makers now making $80,000 for a Part Time job, you think they would at least take time to check with Lawyers or other immigration experts as to what will hold up in a court of law! But instead Leader McCombie would rather vote what she thinks, other than what would support our Constitution. She should hang her head in shame. I am outraged. I did my due diligence and checked with immigration lawyers in Washington D.C. They actually do this for a living, are you listening Tony McCombie? Stop spreading propaganda!
Here are Lawyer Points: DACA recipients are not on a pathway to citizenship. Their deportation has merely been deferred and DACA can be revoked at anytime making them deportable.
A law enforcement officer generally has to take an oath to uphold our constitution and our laws. If the individual is an “illegal alien”- DACA, he/she cannot take that oath.
There is no way to definitively determine who that individual is because they were not vetted or admitted into the country. Standards should not be changed because more police are needed …would you allow nurses to practice medicine because there is a shortage of doctors?

In the Bizarro World of “Htrae”, society is ruled by the Bizarro Code which states “Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!” In one episode, for example, a salesman is doing a brisk trade selling Bizarro bonds: “Guaranteed to lose money for you”. Except you’re empirically wrong. DACA recipients are here legally. They can go to school and have work permits. It’s really sad that you won’t celebrate people aspiring for the American dream. DACA recipients contribute to our society.

I’ll repeat again DACA recipients are here in this country LEGALLY. Despite what the letter writer said, they can legally go to school and get work permits. They can also join the military many DACA recipients honorably serving this country. DACA recipients can also apply for a Green card. Sorry both the letter writer and you are wrong. Writing an uninformed opinion to a newspaper is not fact.
BTW, the Democrats only held a small majority. Republicans hold a majority in the House now. Why aren’t they fixing immigration, they certainly have the power. Republicans refuse to fix immigration so their base can endlessly cry about “illegals”. It’s Republicans who using immigrants, asylum seekers, DACA recipients as pawns. A three-year-old died on one of Abbott buses. Why don’t you cry about that injustice? Asylum seekers and even illegal immigrant are human beings. You and the letter writer treat them as subhumans.

As I understand it most Are Not here legally, there is just an official policy (not Law) that says the law against them being here will not be enforced. (They may be legal once they get that green card or jump through other hoops, not sure.)

Simple question – what kind of idiocy is at work here?
You foster distrust of police, you defund police forces, you pass laws that increase officers’ danger, you handcuff prosecution with revolving door bail laws. You open boarders to gangs, drugs and human trafficking. Trained police with years of experience are giving up and quitting in droves.
Now you decide to allow people who are not citizens of America, many probably had no intention of nor interest in law enforcement until someone said – “you are now our preferred candidate”, to step into this craziness??
