Chris Koos throws a party too, since he spends many thousands of dollars that made me wonder how much this party was. I FOIA’d the cost. Of course staff time isn’t included, invitations if Bloomington had them printed like Normal does, and the costs incurred at the BCPA aren’t known.
All I received was the catering bill for 200 people – $2,848.25. Everyday it appears Bloomington is turning into Normal. Bloomington’s Uptown is next.
Maybe a local caterer wasn’t used so you didn’t find out:

Gotta celebrate this big raises, fake innovation, roles, and ‘money and data funnel partnerships! Then get that warm fizzy great leadership feeling (win win) yuck
This party was done in 2017 during the Hales/Renner administration.
