Further proof nobody elected in Normal is looking out for you:
The rent for the 2nd floor of 1 Uptown Circle keeps going up. This year the Town will throw away $455,147 because a big hole in Uptown needed filled. Nothing would have been built if Normal hadn’t made taxpayers responsible for paying for it forever (15 years). Remember when the Council discussed subleasing the space? That’s dead because nobody cares.
Is the first floor still empty?
Not empty, there is a restaurant on the 1st floor.
Last time I was there nobody was built out.
Continuing on somewhat the same theme, I see the Daily Disappointment has allowed Matekja to write a significant article on his big D.C. trip, without any checking for accuracies or facts. It’s the same drivel of how Biden and his cohorts, J.B. and the Laborers Local are saving the BN economy. I truly feel sorry for people there that are still subjected to the daily BS from the same old tired mouths that think in their narcissistic minds they are actually doing something positive. The town looks more run down everything I am forced to return for a wedding or funeral.
Hacienda Leon opened in September. It’s usually busy, and quite good, though they don’t have white tablecloths. Surprised King Koos signed off on it without the tablecloths….

The Normal council chambers would be a great place to house homeless or illegals! They are so dead set sheltering and welcoming illegals they can put them in there.
