The Rules Committee didn’t bother to meet to correct the stunt Democrats played in February, so the Public Comment policy is still illegal and not on the Agenda tonight to fix. In case you forgot: https://blnnews.com/2024/02/16/county-must-see-public-comments/
Elections:
This primary election will prove Illinois’ voting season is a complete waste of money. Turnout is going to be ridiculously low. I didn’t find a single contested Democrat race. It will be fun to see how many voted as Republicans to take out conservatives they don’t want on November’s ballot.
Republicans have contested races. I might have missed some because the list of ballot types is extensive. Let me know if I did! Olympia has tax increases on the ballot – just say no!
I vote for Chuck Ericson.
remember your out of luck without Chuck
His opponent isn’t from McLean County, is buying the election, and is supported by Dan Caulkins who doesn’t respond to email.
Good morning Diane. Will you be sharing your endorsements for all the candidates for upcoming elections? My Wife and I are always interested in your picks. Thanks you for what you do.
Obviously Chuck Erickson, Donald Ray Rients, Dennis Grundler, Brian Loeffler. I know Don Everhart wants to finish a system being installed now but he wants Dazey to replace him. That one is up to you. The other race I don’t know enough about the candidates – not my district.
No prob Diane. Thanks.
Yes. Very disappointed that the “Rules-cowards” committee didn’t hold a meeting to discuss February’s display or is that behavior of the vice-chair and her fellow cohorts (including the Republicans that allowed it to proceed/didn’t call for a special meeting/denounce it publicly/void it/veto it/censure her behavior) a revelation of Tuesday and November behavior?
