Inflation, Available Apartments, and government

By: Diane Benjamin

Inflation has stolen close to 20% of your buying power – just since 2021:

Inflation will continue unless government policies change. Facts: https://www.bidenomics.com/

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest local gas is at Huck’s on West Oakland – $3.39. Three years ago gas was more than $1 less a gallon. https://www.gasbuddy.com/go/gas-prices-2021-year-in-review

According to Zillow there are MANY apartments available for rent in Bloomington. Most are more than any of our house payments, but then we always lived cheap. Conservatives don’t live on debt, at least serious ones don’t.

See the available apartments here: https://tinyurl.com/Apartments-available

Government can’t fix what they broke. Printing money and bad policies caused inflation. We bought our first house with a variable interest rate when it was around 13%. (Thanks to Jimmy Carter) I don’t want to hear about struggles.

YOU have to find ways to survive, nobody is coming to save you. Bloomington has a downtown streetscape to create.

Vote in November and not for the clowns that are stealing your buying power. I don’t have any faith in fixes anytime soon considering the Feds are now paying close to $1 Trillion a year in interest on the massive debt that increases by $1 Trillion about every 3-4 months. Nothing can be cut, sure.

We deserve better!

(Progressive equals your destruction!)

Illinois is investing in electric charging stations, they won’t tell you that used EV’s are junk. Before you try to “save” the environment, watch this video. EV’s are expensive disposable toys that waste your time charging. I hear Rivian is going to get your money to expand the local plant.

  1. The Prickster and his cronies are purposely running good people and business people out of the state so they can pick up land for pennies on the dollar and suffer less competition in the industries that they too participate in. Although one can hope that Hellinois will someday change, I suspect it will be a long time if that happens.

  2. The huge money pit for Normal tax payers is the Underpass! History will show it to be a large failure. Rember citizens, the amount State and Federal is frozen, local taxpayers will pay cost overruns, trust me, they will be huge!

  3. Inflation is at 3.2 percent. We has a country have recovered from the pandemic better than other countries. No president has control over the price of gas. The price of gas is dependent on international supply and free markets. No president should price fix food, in the 70’s Nixon froze food prices leading to a recession. It was Nixon who started the recession not Carter. By 1973 inflation was 8.8 and 12.2 percent in 1974. Under Nixon unemployment rose to 6 percent in 1970. Carter didn’t become president until 1977.

Conservatives don’t live in debt. Well that’s a hoot. Trump gave huge tax cuts to the wealthy exploding our national debt.

You know absolutely nothing about electric vehicles. They are not junk. Their batteries are evolving from lithium to sodium ion and hydrogen fuel cells. That just proves that you are ignorant about not only economics but technology. Electric vehicles are not “disposable toys”. It doesn’t take forever to charge their batteries. We drove 300 miles and charged the fully electric car in 15 minutes.
You have written a total fact free screed. Maybe you should promote and sell buggy whips.

    1. Trump isn’t a conservative! Biden shut down drilling and pipelines, so yes he is responsible. I quit reading because the rest is likely propaganda too. No I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary but will if he survives until November
