Schools that continue DEI will lose federal funding

By: Diane Benjamin

H/T Two readers who have been sending information. I’ve got a LOT more information, but start here.

Executive Order on Education: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/ending-radical-indoctrination-in-k-12-schooling/

Indoctrination funded by the Department of Education – Over $1 billion: https://defendinged.org/investigations/granted/

This is what the money was used for, not education:

Illinois Schools listed as receiving funds, The Regional Office of Education got $4 million:

Now see this letter: https://www.ed.gov/media/document/dear-colleague-letter-sffa-v-harvard-109506.pdf

That letter was sent to every State Board of Education by the US Department of Education Civil Right Division. If you didn’t know DEI and related programs are illegal, read the letter. It is all spelled out.

Quote: But under any banner, discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin is,
has been, and will continue to be illegal.

More quotes:

The Department will no longer tolerate the overt and covert racial discrimination that has become widespread in this Nation’s educational institutions. The law is clear: treating students differently on the basis of race to achieve nebulous goals such as diversity, racial balancing, social justice, or equity is illegal under controlling Supreme Court precedent.

Institutions that fail to comply with federal civil rights law may, consistent with applicable law, face potential loss of federal funding. Dr. Shelvin just got a new title, save money and fire her.

Anyone who believes that a covered entity has unlawfully discriminated may file a complaint with OCR. Information about filing a complaint with OCR, including a link to the online complaint form, is available here.

Unit 5 must remove these from the curriculum and their website and disband working groups forcing DEI on students.

Unit 5 isn’t the only school promoting Marxist ideology. All schools need to end the indoctrination or risk losing federal funding.

  1. Maybe, just maybe, America has a chance. President Trump and his people seem to be doing everything possible to undo the insane progressive poisoning of society from the Obama and Biden eras, I pray they do! Btw….it’s kind of fun watching the lowlife democrats heads explode! Schumer and Waters are especially entertaining.😂 Trump and company are certainly making the right people mad!!! I love it.

  2. Systemic Educational Equity LLC wrote and conducted Equity Audits for many Illinois School Districts including Unit 5’s Equity Audit of 2021. They established the DEI Department’s organization, set DEI goals and provided the CRT based Identity training. They have made quite a bit of money pushing the Collectivist Equity worldview into our classrooms.

They were also involved in setting up Illinois’ Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards that require Critical Theory principles be taught in K-12 classrooms. Setting up State educational standards and then making money consulting school districts on how to comply with those same standards is a conflict of interest.

Any District using SEE LLC should end all relationships with them and eliminate all documentation or training provided by them. I for one don’t want another tax hike because Unit 5 has lost its federal funding.

  3. Trump can’t govern by fiat. There are still protections for students in state and federal laws that prevent the exploitation of minorities. Title IX civil rights prohibitions against sex-based discrimination in schools. Trump also can’t deny payment to states that are following the law. So you are empirically wrong, a president can’t overturn a Constitutional right or a Constitutional Amendment. Trump cannot deny federal funding to any public schools or Colleges.

    Executive Orders can be overturned.

      1. I don’t think it’s a constitutional matter…the Department of Education was formed by the dip s#%t Jimmy Carter and does not have the power of Congress behind it. Sooo……bye bye DEI.
