They haven’t met for a while because they haven’t had a quorum. One item is establishing the Welcoming America standards.

Instead of pretending Bloomington isn’t a sanctuary City, being a “welcoming city” was passed. If you click that link, you will see this group doesn’t believe immigration policy should be enforced. They don’t believe criminal illegal aliens need to be removed. They don’t believe force is probably needed to arrest criminals who have committed serious crimes. Immigration policy is supposed to benefit citizens, not the rest of the world.
Do some research on CHIRLA. They are paid by government to void immigration laws. The population in California is now over 25% “immigrants”. As a result citizens are fleeing.

Krystle hasn’t bothered to study history or what these policies actually do. She wants people paying taxes so other people get free stuff. This guy wants to defund the police, that hurts the poorest people because they are the crime victims.
San Francisco went down this path. They recently voted for the opposite. Only time will tell if it’s too late to clean up the mess left by progressives.
Sleep well McLean County and Normal knowing you elected a clueless to govern.
I know 2 churches that bought into the solar panels lie. All they saw was the subsidies and supposed money that will be saved. Those panels are leased so there is that fee as well. What happens when all that “free” money runs out? Trying to save money upfront is going to blow up in their face when they have to pay the piper down the road.

#4 Welcoming America Commission –
I recall years ago when we were debating the Welcoming Cities Proclamations. Conservatives asked – what about crime, housing, public aid (budgets) for the likely influx of illegals? The left responded passionately against our concerns and warnings.
Today – the Welcoming America Commission can’t find enough people to fill their 7 positions and have canceled every meeting this year. Why?
The left loves to march, fly foreign flags and insult anyone that disagrees with them even when their causes are fringe. Their passion blinds them to obvious consequences but consequences don’t care about passion. Consequences happen anyway and should be a guide to future decisions. Supporting socialism is case in point.
