Today’s agenda: https://connect-transit.com/file/4024/2026%2001%2027_BoT%20Meeting%20Packet.pdf
The packet is for November and December. There isn’t near as much information in the packet as usual. Missing are reports from their consultants in Springfield and DC.

Buses don’t take people where they want to go, they take people where the buses go. Americans aren’t giving up their vehicles.
Will anyone care when loses are $2 million a month?

Must be nice. Wasn’t that long ago I was living paycheck to paycheck barely breaking even trying to pay taxes for all this crap I never use. Picking up a second job now I can save enough so I can move out of this town and this state!
I sent A letter to Dept of transportation saying they need to DOGE our transit system because they lose so much money every month. They replied we have to take it up with local officials . Even though they are losing federal money every month also. Locals officials don’t care.
They believe people wouldn’t be able to get to work without them. ISU kids need subsidized too
I appreciate our Public Transit, and wish that people would realize how important it is to enjoy their service. Not having to shovel out the car in weather like this. They always got me to work on time, no stress. Thank you.
You can never look for a better job if the bus doesn’t go there. That makes you a slave to buses.
This seems like a complaint about there not being enough buses?
There can’t ever be enough for all times and all places, that’s taxi
I call bull sheet! On big snow days, side streets don’t get plowed for a couple of days. On really cold days, 1/2 the buses don’t run. And you’ve never been late, lol.
It’s not that nobody cares about CT $$ waste. It’s simply that the ballot box no longer functions for the betterment of taxpayers. CT Trustees are, in part, made up of the same elected grifter/spendthrifts that run local government. The same local government that cannot possible find even 1% of tax reductions in their ongoing effort to fleece the taxpayer. Regardless of party, they look, act and smell the same. I’ve suggested many times that CT riders travel for free and follow that by CT headcount reductions for anyone that is involved with ridership, electric bus grants and seminars. Salary and benefit savings will offset the pennies collected via fares.
Few voting in local elections makes all the above possible.
Nevermind the fact those buses continue to destroy what’s left of the crater ridden bomb zone called Wylie Drive. If they’re gonna keep throwing money away fix the road!
