When Facts Don’t Matter: Corey Beirne

Obviously the facts presented at the meeting and in the above story are immaterial if you govern as child. McLean County voters in District 10 can rid themselves of this menace in November. Break up the “power couple” gang. See below. Both Beirne and Scott raised your property taxes.

Was the “K” in Bloomington an accident or a hint?

  1. After being humiliated by Sheila Montney on numerous occasions (by asking valid questions and stating facts), Scott decided to try and bait Representative Montney to discuss an issue that was not on the council’s agenda, which would leave the city vulnerable to the Illinois Open Meetings act.

“Any agenda of a regular meeting shall be posted at least 48 hours in advance… and no final action may be taken on items not listed on the agenda.”

Forcing discussion on an unposted topic denies the public meaningful notice, which is the entire purpose of the statute.

Botton line – this was an obvious attempt to falsely discredit Representative Montney; who handled the situation perfectly. Much to the chagrin of the local leftist squad. Grrrrrr foiled again!

But the situation was not to be wasted by husband Corney Beirne who posted this false summary of what happened— conveniently while he’s actively soliciting campaign contributions. Corney often uses Saul Alinsky’s 5th rule for radicals – “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon” in the quest of power.

  2. Corey fails to recognize that Abby was “out of order.” The Mayor chairs the meeting, as ordinance dictates, and is responsible for directing discussion. Sheila was recognized by the mayor and given the floor. Based on Robert’s Rules, Abby should have waited for the mayor to recognize her before speaking. What a cry baby!!

Those now criticizing Sheila didn’t want her appointed in the first place. All necessary information about behavioral health can be found on the County website.
