Illinois only has 3 Republicans representing US House districts because the State is HEAVILY gerrymandered. 14 seats belong to Democrats.
Statewide Trump received around 44% of the vote in 2024. Obviously only 3 seats doesn’t reflect that vote.
If it was up to Indivisible, Illinois would have no Republicans in the House.
Who is Indivisible? Progressive far left Democrats founded to oppose Trump. According to AI: The organization and its affiliates have received funding from organizations such as the Open Society Foundations, founded by George Soros, and have allies including the American Civil Liberties Union and Democratic Socialists of America.
Saturday they will be in Darin Lahood’s district trying to erase yet another Republican. Evidently all the leftists that show up for No Kings protests don’t want to actually do anything other than stand outside so activists have to be imported from the Chicago area.
In case you forgot, self identified progressive Krystle Able held an event at the ARC for Lahood’s opponent: https://blnnews.com/2026/06/11/remember-when-republicans-were-told-to-stay-out-of-bedrooms/
Side note: the Democrat DuPage County Clerk was so bad she was defeated in a primary earlier this year. Take that as a warning for McLean County if you value fair elections.
Saturday details:
Join Indivisible Illinois & Indivisible DuPage for a grassroots carpool canvass into Illinois’ 16th Congressional District, one of the most competitive opportunities to expand Democratic representation in Illinois this November.
We will meet at the DuPage Dems office in Carol Stream, Illinois and drive together to Bloomington for a day of direct voter outreach. Together, we’ll knock doors in support of Democratic congressional nominee Paul Nolley as he challenges incumbent Congressman Darin LaHood.
At a time when democracy faces growing challenges and partisan gerrymandering is reshaping political maps across the country, every congressional seat matters. Expanding representation in Congress will require volunteers willing to have conversations with voters where it counts most. Door-to-door organizing remains one of the most effective ways to engage voters, build community, and make a real impact on Election Day.
Whether you’re a seasoned canvasser or participating for the first time, training and support will be provided. Bring your energy, comfortable walking shoes, and a commitment to helping shape the future of our democracy.
Meet in at the DuPage Democrats office at at 9:00 AM
Carpool together to Bloomington, IL.
Knock doors, connect with voters, and help build the path to victory in IL-16
The road to November runs through conversations with voters. Join us in Bloomington and be part of the movement to make a difference.
