From 2024-2026 JB funneled $12,000,000 to PACs – $10,000,000 of that want to Juliana Stratton’s Senate primary
In 2022 JB spent $350,000 on candidates in other states. In 2026 he has spent $10,300,000.
Pritzker has funneled $25,500,000 to Illinois Democrats and the Democratic Governors’ Association. See the Party and Dark Money tab – other amounts aren’t disclosed.
From 2018-2026 JB Pritzker has spent $414,000,000 buying his own elections.
That number will go higher when new campaign quarterly reports are filed.

I’d love a Republican in that seat and the governorship, but I fear we have zero percent chance of that happening this cycle. Illinois will vote for Republicans if the national environment is right, but Trump has created headwinds that are just too great to overcome. Too much stupid shit like renaming lakes, tearing down part of the White House and starting dumb wars. When I find myself having to defend him to my pissed off relatives who voted for him three times but are now fed-up, I know that we’re cooked. I’m as confident that we’re in for a bloodbath this election as I was that Trump would win in 2024. Not looking good.

Not trying to argue- I hated Obama as much as anyone. Just saying that my friends who have been as MAGA as anyone are unhappy with him right now in a way that I havent seen yet. Doesnt bode well for us this November.

The problem is he is literally going around telling people to act like he is on the ballot. He thinks that he is a net positive right now for Republicans. He’s been waaaaay too visible and wants to be as visible as possible for a guy with such a low overall approval rating. Its really going to hurt Republicans running in Illinois- makes it impossible to make the elections local. Hes literally doing Democrats job for them- they dont even have to try to tie local and state candidates to Trump. Hes doing it for them.

If we want to vote Pritzker out, which I very much do, than the national environment certainly is not immaterial. Republicans can do well in Illinois when the national environment is favorable (just look at 2014). Right now, its about as bad a national environment as it could be.
Even my relatives in Ohio have told me that they are so pissed at gas prices, electric bills, and grocery prices that they’ll be sitting out this election in protest.
Its not good.

I support Trump because he did lower taxes (although not nearly enough), and he’s friendly with businesses (I like when my 401k goes up). But let’s not act like everything he has done has been in the interest of the country or Republican priorities. Wasting money on endless vanity projects in DC is not something we stand for as Republicans, last time I checked. And renaming lakes to virtue signal was something the left owned, until Trump decided to ridiculously get in on the action, too.
Id love for us to get back on track, but all this dumb shit is just pissing off voters and sabotaging us for the midterms.

The ballroom is a want, not a need. Just like gold plating statues in DC, renovating endless rooms of the White House, and building a 250 foot arch in DC. Wants, not needs. Its no different than King Koos wanting his underpass in Normal.
And to spend all that taxpayer money while people are tightening their budgets and spending less is a TERRIBLE look going into the midterms. Supporting everything Trump does just because he is Trump is no different than opposing everything he does just because of who he is. Its just a different form of TDS.

What does that mean?!? I should only listen to media that tells me what I want to hear? No thanks. Most of my friends and people I talk to are as Republican red as it gets.
They hate Pritzker and blame Illinois dems for their property taxes and the COVID debacle but they’re also super pissed at Trump. They didnt want another middle eastern war to jack up gas, dont feel like he’s done anything to lower their grocery prices, and annoyed at the petty, vane things he wastes so much of his time on. I also have a ton of friends who are farmers who are pissed at how the trade wars have cut off their markets and made them dependent on government subsidies.

You called the Iran war dumb? – Are you serious!? Iran has killed an estimated 100,000 of their own people. They were weeks from a nuclear warhead, they’ve spent the last 47 years terrorizing the region, their stated intention is global religious domination and total destruction of Israel, responsible for 10’s of thousands of missile launches into Israel and elsewhere. Id rather that money be spent on OUR people and put towards OUR debt. Yes, Iran has a horrible government. There are lots of horrible governments. Its not our job to police the world. And we don’t even have a goal of regime change. Trump would happily end this war with the same Aholes in charge so long as they reopened the strait of hormuz and signed a nuclear deal. And dont give me that Schtick about being weeks away from a nuclear weapon. There is ZERO evidence to support that. Literally none of us on the right were calling for this war before Trump started it, except for a few of the same warhawks who got us into the debacle in Iraq. I assumed Trump was smart enough not to listen to those clowns.

Anyone who claims that they were a Trump supporter, but they are not now, are watching the wrong news. They fail to see the big picture. In my opinion, everything he does is for the good of the country. Of course, difficult decisions often come with some undesirable consequences. But in the end, he is right about almost everything. JK
Once again, I agree. But most people fixate on how theyre doing financially. Gas, energy, grocery, and housing costs are still ballooning. The same things that sunk Biden with Democrats are on track to sink Republicans this November. Things aren’t good for most people, and people blame whatever party has the most power in our country- and right now thats Republicans. Honestly, if I were in Republican leadership, I wouldn’t even waste money in Illinois. Theres no way they win because of the overall climate. Il dropping that cash in Maine, Alaska, Ohio, and even Texas to make sure we hang onto those Senate seats.

A lot of Republicans cannot see the big picture. Gas prices soared under Biden. The left cheered because “more people will buy EVs”. Groceries doubled under Biden and his “inflation reduction act” Democrats tax both to death. JB takes care of the union bosses and lawmakers in Illinois. Raised pay for those in Springfield by 50% since he took office. Your property tax bills have risen 50% in that length of time with no relief in sight. Gas prices go up and down. Property taxes NEVER go down!
Trump gave breaks to working people. Tip tax and overtime tax relief are real. Social security tax relief is real. Democrats deliver unending taxes and fees.
Trump may disturb your emotions at times but Democrats destroy your bank account and freedom. Go ahead and vote JB or sit this one out. I hope you did not throw out all your masks from the Covid era. With yet another 4 years, JB would love nothing better than to tell you to mask up and ask him permission on where you can go and what you can do on a daily basis.
Anyone remember Bruce Rainer? He was going to bring some common sense back to IL but was shut down hard at every turn and essentially run out of town by the unions. Dems have a lock on the state and will continue to do so until it eventually goes bankrupt. Trump has nothing to do with it. There aren’t enough conservatives left in the state and willing to organize and vote to turn things around. Lost cause IMO.
