On Facebook Beirne is accusing McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael of being deceptive about the number of employees in her office. HR has told him and others how many full time employees are in that office, he evidently is having trouble reading.
He really wants a democrat running local elections – anything it takes to win. Instead of bashing Michaels with mis-truths, he should tell us why he wants her opponent elected and how much he is going to cost County taxpayers.

The first question for Crockett should be: How are you going to secure personal data when you are making it widely available from more places? Here’s 2 BIG ideas:

Do you trust unelected librarians and “civic” organizations to prevent identity theft?

Does this mean Voting by Mail won’t be needed? Every polling place will have access to the entire voter database? What can possibly go wrong? Early voting locations already exist where this is possible, does Crockett want them all over the County?
This one is my favorite:
I poll watched a precinct in Mike Madigan’s district that had 2 high school girls running the election. An alderman that was on the ballot brought chocolates and was campaigning illegally. The democrat precinct captain frequently grabbed the book to see who to contact to come vote, he even took a ballot to a lady who couldn’t come in and had her vote. The two girls said nothing. High School and College students are easily intimidated by adults. These two were either never trained or felt they had no power to enforce the law.
Does Crockett know the County and Bloomington both have full slates of people to run the November elections? How many employees is Crockett going to need to hire and how BIG is his budget going to be to enact this wishlist? Corey? Corey?
Does Crockett know he would be in charge of the Recorder’s office too? It isn’t mentioned on his website. That office has to protect land records. Is he going to open those up too? Want your property stolen?
Maybe Beirne just wants votes for himself. His actions should disqualify him.
Crockett state how he is going to pay for all of this? Explain it Crockett. Does he intend to access IDPH records? Does he have a plan for these restricted records. These are not public records. One would think before making such a statement, one has their ducks in a row. Again, back to the money issue. We have all these buses around town that drive right past the office. Get on one and get your birth certificate Joshua. It is tiring to hear that people do not have access. They do.
Don’t forget, Corey was running around saying he “lowered taxes” at campaign events, even though he voted for every property tax levy increase he could, totalling 24% in property tax hike in just 3 years, with a 4th increase about to come this November (4.1%).
He has since changed his tune, and now advertises how he “lowered the tax rate”, which is technically true, but only because the tax Levy wasn’t maxed out to match the EAV increase each year. But the levy still increased (24%).
This is misleading and deceptive, because he hopes the voting public is stupid and doesn’t know the difference between tax rate and tax levy.

And considering the majority of people in district 10 who vote for him are probably renters and don’t actually pay property taxes directly (their landlord charges it to them as part of their rent), the “lowered tax rate” sounds great! And then they complain their rent keeps going up, and it’s all the evil landlords fault!
News flash: it’s Corey’s fault your rent is so damn high.
