The County has a meaningless code of ethics. It’s meaningless because there are no consequences for violating it. This is the last point in the code:

The below was posted by McLean County Board candidate Corey Beirne to his official Facebook page. Keep in mind he claims not to be divisive. Keep in mind he is also teaching your kids and depises anyone who votes Republican. Keep in mind he hates Trump voters he claims to represent in his own district now. Violation of the Code of Ethics?
Maybe Indiana did the disaster application right and Illinois didn’t. Obviously Beirne thinks the Feds need to fund his extensive wants list which is why the country is $40 trillion in debt as everyone has their hand out.
The County Clerk’s office didn’t “waste” money and it was $400,000, not $500,000. You voted for budget amendments largely due to overtime caused by staff shortages and new employees. The fake investigation by the State Police disappeared. Did your party instigate that investigation as a campaign stunt? Hidden agenda Corey? Do you ever read your email that provided the facts?
Is this what you mean about MAGA coming after you? https://blnnews.com/2026/09/03/court-ruling-pride-flags-in-classrooms/
Or is it this one that really aggravates you? https://blnnews.com/2025/10/17/libs-of-tiktok-featured-corey-beirne-yesterday/

.
District 10 and McLean County deserve better.

Corey has raised taxes by 23% in his 3 years in office. Why is he talking about “lower taxes”? The Democratic board is about to approve another 4.1% property tax hike in November.
