Things to know:

  • All of the data came from the Teachers Retirement System
  • Not every employee of Unit 5 is in TRS
  • Some employees earning minimal amounts (less than $1000) were deleted for clarity
  • The main list has 923 employees
  • A list at the bottom has another 44 with salary decreases, no idea why – maybe quit
  • The job descriptions from Part 1 are included
  • Why weren’t all teachers treated equally?
  • Superintendent Kristen Weikle claims this didn’t happen
  • Remember to breath while reading
  • Next ask Unit 5 to explain

Instead of creating pictures of all the pages, view the salaries from this PDF:

  1. Very interesting!! Thanks Diane. For people who are paid by way of tax payer dollars, I’d they’re doing well. So glad Baker’s salary went down. Regarding one employee whose salary decreased about $3000, that might have been a stipend for coaching, and perhaps that is no longer the case.

  2. A few are likely folks who take unpaid FMLA time off. Think someone who stays home for 12 weeks vs 6-8. paid maternity weeks. Their initial salary could be $3-5k lower than it actually is.
