I really didn’t want to post this video today, but I’m going to anyway. Chris Koos made a campaign commercial featuring Normal for JB Pritzker.
One would almost think Pritzker was governor when Rivian bought the plant. (He wasn’t)
One would think the Feds hadn’t poured printed money into Illinois that helps cause inflation but helped the State finances. (Not yours!)
One would think the Rivian investors hadn’t thrown billions at the plant and Illinois did. One would think early investor’s in Rivian stock hadn’t lost their shirts either. How much have locals lost?

Watching this video one might think Illinois’s pension crisis is over. Hint: It’s worse since JB took office.
Evidently Chris Koos had no hand in the job growth Normal is experiencing. Anyone know what happened at that Rivian meeting last Friday? Rivian hired a lot of people that didn’t have any training touted in this video, Pritzker isn’t responsible for the new employment.
Has Pritzker toured the empty spaces in Uptown? How many huge corporations have moved out of Illinois under Pritzker?
Listen all the way to the end, it sounds more like Pritzker is trying himself out for President in 2024 instead of wanting to be re-elected.
Luckily the video is only 1 minute long. Maybe Pritzker can find someone to rent the first floor of 1 Uptown Circle and get Normal taxpayers out of the $37,000+ a month rent on the second floor. Koos sure can’t.

Don’t forget Pritzker masked your kids and kept them out of school. Pritzker, the picture of health, refused to comply with courts that ruled his tyranny illegal. Pritzker also proved criminals are more important than your police. He stripped them of the ability to enforce laws.

A presidential run for JB has been the intent all along. He has already been to New Hampshire to test the waters in front of Dem power brokers. Koos likely has further ambitions as well. Already long cozy with Diminutive Dick doing crooked JB a favor adds to his state and national political bona-fides in the eyes of the Socialist Dems. No need to address the Rivian drama, just go to EV articles, automotive and financial trade magazines to see what really is happening in RJ’s kingdom. The whole thing is about putting oil and coal out of business because all involved are heavily invested in electric transportation. The best way to make money in it is to make the competition illegal by fiat.

“We have incurred net losses since our inception, including net losses of $0.4 billion, $1.0 billion, and $4.7 billion for the years ended December 31, 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively,” Rivian said in the filing. “We believe that we will continue to incur operating and net losses in the future while we grow, including following our initial generation of revenues from the sale of our vehicles, which began with the R1T in September 2021 and the R1S and EDV in December 2021. We do not expect to be profitable for the foreseeable future as we invest in our business, build capacity, and ramp up operations, and we cannot assure you that we will ever achieve or be able to maintain profitability in the future.”
Rivian has 13 billion in investor money yet to spend.

As of Monday at 1:19 p.m. ET, shares of Rivian were trading at $23.37, down $5.42, or 18.83%.
According to CNBC, Ford plans to sell 8 million of its 102 million shares. The automaker owns an 11.4% stake in Rivian, which it attributed to its first-quarter loss of $3.1 billion.
JPMorgan Chase is also expected to sell 13 million to 15 million shares of the company on behalf of an unknown seller, who was not revealed by the news outlet.
Rivian’s biggest stakeholder is Amazon, which currently has 162 million shares of the company. Amazon also reported a hefty $3.8 billion loss for Q1 2022, also citing the truck maker’s loss in stock value.
Rivian has produced 3,600 electric pickup trucks since it began deliveries of the EV in fall 2021, CNN said.
The company’s shares have lost 43% of their value since the end of Q1 through market close Friday and the stock is down 84% from its post-IPO high through Friday’s close, CNN reported.

Bloomberg first reported Monday that Rivian could target about 5% of its workforce, which has grown to over 14,000 people. About 6,000 of those people work at Rivian’s manufacturing plant in Normal, where electric trucks, SUVs, and vans are being made. The majority of Rivian employees work elsewhere.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see where this is all headed. I give them another nine months and then a lot of people are going to need new jobs.
That’s what I think. Electric vehicles are unreliable. They don’t work in cold winter months. And there is not enough capacity for the power grid because…they are shutting down coal fired energy plants.
“They” hate it when confronted with reality. In their twisted little world Rivian is doing GREAT. Their collapse will be positively delicious.
Wait until people find out there is no market for used EVs because the batteries are too expensive to replace.
Oh and adding to my first comment, it’s not that I like seeing people lose their jobs, it’s that I hate scammers, liars and thieves and am happy when they get their comeuppance and that is what the entire Rivian Corporation (Scaringe) is a HUGE con and a scam. I feel sorry for the trusting people who thought they were getting into a good career, hopefully they will be able to find something else quickly.
Koos is doing this for Pritzker to get more money for his underpass and assurance for his high paying Amtrak appointment. K

That too. I’ve already had a couple friends find out how expensive battery replacement is – and I have also heard that mileage goes down considerably per charge if the AC is running, not sure what EV that is but it could be all of them.
