I hope you were able to take Monday off, the Town of Normal was supposed to meet since that was the first Monday in July. Of course they needed a 4 day weekend instead.

I was in Normal on July 3 to see The Sound of Freedom at a theater. It was very dark when the movie ended. The Town of Normal seems to think street lights need to be so dim the streets and pedestrians can’t be seen. If Normal buys into “Vision Zero” that aims to eliminate all traffic deaths and serious injuries they will fail.

I strongly recommend seeing this movie!

(and not driving in Normal after dark)

Tonight will be another short meeting. The Council will approve changes to the cannabis ordinance that DOESN’T include limiting the number! Dispensaries are still not allowed in Uptown. Staff seems to think limiting qualifying areas is enough:

I bet the meeting ends with glowing reviews of Make Music Normal. Maybe Kathleen Lorenz will again applaud the Town staff “elves” who rapidly cleaned everything up.
