According to the IYS website, the survey many area schools are participating in will be given to 8th, 10th, and 12th graders in Illinois public schools. Keep in mind the University of Illinois is conducting the survey.
Tri-Valley sent a copy of the survey to parents with the announcement. A reader posted the version 8th graders will be taking to my story. I haven’t heard from any parents at other schools about receiving a copy from their schools. I applaud Tri-Valley for the transparency! If parents of 10th or 12th graders have a copy please send it to me.
The survey is 11 pages long. I don’t know why question D2 is on the survey since the website states grades 6 and 7 aren’t going to be surveyed. The website states surveys have been given since 1990. It would be fascinating to see how the questions have changed!
Yes- surveys may have been given for years. This is different and the use, tools, practice and storage and tracking and integration is unclear.
Regardless, the questions appear to be very broad and U of I has a history of exploiting student and data of types calling it “analysis” and “research”
QR codes and RFID and other highly funded Deloitte and U of I and Progressive Impressions Internation (and 3rd parties) and State Farm (and local Internet of Things) implementation projects fuel a lot of this “study”
The questions are Human Factors based (Marxism). I don’t really care who thinks my opinion is nuts or not “for the good” but you and your kids are test rats and U of I will have lots of Tableau and Python reports to generate for their new Social Scoring projects.

Remember ObamaCare…..now its expanded and even worse. If you see all the “data breaches/leaks” in the last few years it paints a very dark and misleading picture of “cybersecurity” and elites profiting off the “system” and integrations. You will see many Execs, Stakeholders and Mgrs getting huge bonus’ for implementing systems that basically exploit their own taxpayers, citizens and data and privacy.
The recent GDPR (Global Digital Privacy) implementation basically opened the door to more of the data share/exploit and consumers are captive now. Follow the $

Noone said a thing. All orgs and cities and state depts. implementing AWS (Amazon Web Service) cyber security architectures and IoT (Internet of Things) are basically China model and anyone of authority can stalk you now.
They will call it logistics, public safety, “for the good”, QR codes, National security, TSA handling, State Dept identification systems, emergency response tools, training and more foolish things they all profit and get elected from (both parties).

UGH! Seriously! Why are we asking these questions to 8th graders. I take my comment from yesterday back. Are we not just planting these ideas into their heads? 100% opt out if my kid were in those grades being surveyed.

If this is solely for 8th graders and these outrageous questions being asked why are YOUNGER ages choices on these grooming questions?
Depending on what class hour the survey is administered in, some advanced students take classes above their grade level. This is also administered state-wide and the form may or may not be reused to survey the same cohort over several years.
You are still correct that this is a very groomer-friendly survey, but that aside, there are reasonable explanations for this aspect at least.
Even if one approached this survey without any bias regarding the source, one doesn’t need to read past the third question to know it is administered with mal intent. “Sex assigned at birth” is only relevant to roughly 0.05% of the children surveyed, so they are purposely confusing, and so arguably abusing, 99.95% of the children it is given to.
