If you live in the County (not Bloomington-Normal) are you under-served by the Clerk’s office? Nikita Richards thinks you are and plans to spend more money to serve you!
Since the Clerk’s budget was cut recently, where she plans to get the money is a mystery. Maybe she can fire the staff and just use interns from the ISU College Democrats.
Nikita doesn’t realize people in the County want government as far away from them as possible. They don’t need or want early voting stations so they can pay election judges to stare at themselves for 40 days waiting for somebody to enter the polling place.
Then there is Nikita’s attitude believing people say “How dare she run”. That’s not the message Nikita. The message is how dare you accuse the current County Clerk of voter suppression and irregularities without any proof. She had to create something to run on, so she decided to go negative. The divisive campaign was caused by Nikita’s antics and constant social media posts claiming diversity, but only those agreeing with her can be included in “diverse”.
Nikita claims not everybody in the County has access to a car, okay. They can take their horse to the polls on election day. Republicans like to do their patriot duty on the actual day. They don’t need 40 days to be hoodwinked into throwing away their vote early before the campaigns play out.
Don’t forget Nikita still wants a County Election Commission run by bureaucrats instead of the ELECTED County Clerk’s office handling them. The votes are counted with both Democrat and Republican election judges, she can’t say the Clerk counts their own votes. She needs to explain why she is running for a job she doesn’t want.
Nikita Richards needs to be defeated or for the next 4 years we will hear about Republicans discrimination and voter suppression because she can’t get more money. She not only needs defeated, she needs to be soundly defeated. McLean County isn’t the place for her divisiveness.
The County needs to show up November 6th and send a clear message about campaigning in McLean County. Debating ideas is fine, making unfounded accusations isn’t.

It is obvious that her use of the computer on City time was completely “whitewashed” …. she has to thank God for those white people covering up her crimes with their very white whitewash!
Lawrence are you talking about the privileged white people that bestowed that privilege upon her of looking the other way, via a (wink, wink) independent investigation? Say it ain’t so cause Nikita preaches about privilege. Here see this quote from the Pantagraph article, “I believe that the current clerk comes from a place of privilege that prevents her to be able to see all sides of an issue.” Nikita is certainly just another hypocrite, no diversity at all. Just do what Tari tells ya.
Yes it is amazing how quickly they did the investigation? Bang and it’s done… nothing to see here… move along… Our diversity darling wants the position and power…. So can everyone just shut up and sit down… Tari has got this…
Don’t just vote, be a POLL WATCHER. Many precincts need some watching, ISU, IWU, the Dem chairman, the west side of Bloomington and a few more. The socialist movement will do anything above or bellow the law to succeed in this election. The time has come to participate in the system.
Dem Chairman lives in Ward 2.
People like her SHOULD be banished from running OR holding ANY office. The PURPOSE of public office is to get along-NOT keep the pot boiling..
If, or should I say when, Nikita loses the race does anyone think she’ll stop running for office? Of course not. It will continue to be her full-time job while employed with the City and being paid handsomely by taxpayers. Wonder what other future candidates are currently “employed” with no-show jobs in City Hall.
Nikita has set her sights too low. She should run for the U.S. Congress, Upper House or Lower House.
Maybe Illinois governor, or mayor of Bloomington. Nikita is just not the “Right Fit” for our County Court House.
She could destroy Bloomington even faster than Tari!
Agree with post and with all comments and will reiterate that the defeat has to be resounding, not close and it IS time for ALL of US to go vote, ALL OF US, because these people in their ivory towers truly have NO idea how small they really are in the BIG picture – they just stand out because they are loud and brazen and they SHOW UP – Please, sleeping giant, wake up now and crush these people, these smug, rude, self important people who have had their free reign/free rein WAY too long.
