      1. The Unit 5 Employers (TAXPAYERS) should be demanding forensic audits since the super has indicated the raises didn’t happen.

  1. You have to remember that most teachers don’t consider the raises in their pay through step/lane increases in pay as raises. Most only see the additional percentages they get – the extra 1-2% – as raises. If you were to point out 3-5% or more in annual raises they actually get, it would throw them for a loop.

  2. Over all teachers are leaving the profession. Can’t blame them when social activists that contradict common sense and social morality are the preferred personnel. CRT.
    So how are districts going to keep capable teachers?
    Give them more money for less qualifications. .

  3. Starting January 2023, the only qualification you’ll need to be a public school teacher in Illinois is a High School Diploma, and be 18 years old. There is no way I want to be giving the public schools anymore money.

      1. I think it’s this –
        Beginning January 1, 2023, you may qualify for the ELS-Paraprofessional license by meeting the requirements outlined below at age 18 but only may serve in prekindergarten through grade 8.
        One of the following required:

        Associate’s degree or higher
        60 semester hours of coursework
        High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
        High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
        Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
        Reading for information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)
