Six Things You Need To Know

Bloomington agenda for tonight: https://d2kbkoa27fdvtw.cloudfront.net/cityblm/8941a8856acf86d8eb133ec7a8132d1a0.pdf

3 Public hearings will be held. All 3 items are on the Consent Agenda. That means the hearings are meaningless. The Consent Agenda is usually passed without comment.

Also, the City is spending another $215,366.27 on the water quality. This time they are treating both lakes for algae. Since algae is the problem, why wasn’t this done first?

My voting rules, I don’t care if you agree or not.

Early voting is a scam to lock in votes before real campaigning even starts. If three people are running for 3 positions I usually leave them blank. That isn’t democracy.

Just because the ballot says “Vote for up to 4” it doesn’t mean you have to. If you only support 1 of the candidates, why are you giving votes to people you don’t support? An example is Tri-Valley. I see only Casey Misch as a candidate who won’t be a bobblehead for administration. I’m only voting for him.

If you think you have no reason to vote you are wrong. Go vote against the 1% Sales Tax increase. Schools don’t need more money – they need to educate instead of indoctrinate.

Money Creek Township has a convicted felon on the ballot. This guy pled guilty in 2015 to forgery:

Look up the case here: https://publicaccess.mcleancountyil.gov/PubAC_SearchCriminal.aspx

65 ILCS 5/Art 3.1 looks like felons are banned from the ballot. Save yourself future fights and vote for the other guy.

Leroy: Do you know this: https://www.leroy.org/file/2816/AGENDA%2017MAR2025.pdf

Evidently Administration doesn’t know the COVID vaccination doesn’t work:

That one I just found funny, this is the real reason for this story:

$50,200 to create a feasibility study? Since they are spending money this is a done deal. Leroy residents will be paying for this if objection doesn’t exist. Do you really need a Community Center after the Replex fiascos of the recent past?

Proof Cody Hendricks violated City Code by stating he was endorsed by a political party. Can the violation be any more blatant? Is he going to be held accountable for law violations? This happens frequently because violators never are.

If you’ve ever wondered what the made up term Christian Nationalist means, a lady on MSNBC explained it. It’s any Christian who believes Rights come from God. Remember when everyone was taught that because this country was founded on that principle? Progressives want you to forget so government can be recreated. They hate western civilization as founded.

  1. Item 5 – on the Democrats injecting their partisanship and hatred for the other side into local politics.
The obvious reason for this being against local law is that citizens shouldn’t feel like will be rejected by their elected officials depending on their party affiliation.

Will our representatives check our party affiliation before they decide to investigate a complaint, say the condition of the street we live on, before they take action? Sure sounds like it.

The biggest threat to communities and society at large is a lack of trust between neighbors. As Jonnathan Haidt says, it’s the glue that holds societies together. Local political leaders are in a unique position to either increase trust between neighbors or destroy it.

My reps are Corey Beirne and possibly Abby Scott. I really would not feel comfortable sitting down with either of these people concerning nonpartisan community issues. Especially in the case of Beirne who often expresses his hatred for fellow citizens. Unfortunately, I have to assume his wife Abby Scott shares his point of view when on Facebook she calls him “my biggest supporter, cheerleader, and enabler”

Some of his comments on Facebook include:

    “HEY FASCISTS!”

“Welcome back to the Trolls, Curmudgeons, Bigots, and Fascists”

“I’m slightly relieved that the implementation of those supposed policies are coming from incompetent blowhards whose fascism is exceeded only by their ignorance, but here we are.
PSST: THE BIGGEST THREAT TO CHILDREN IN SCHOOL ARE THE PRESIDENT AND HIS ILK. ”

“It’s hard not to think of the naysayers and ignorant shitstirrers who try to win elections by pissing and moaning about how bad our public schools are. Never any data, never anything coherent, just made up crap.”

I think Beirne would just as soon punch a republican in the face than answer their questions. The way he expresses himself leads me to believe he is an insecure, violent person, or wants people to think he is.

Beirne is a destroyer of trust, a destroyer of community. Abby Scott? I won’t vote for her.
