Locally we still haven’t been told when the airport is going to start taxing the county. If you forgot, Democrats got that passed in Springfield with members that don’t represent rural McLean County. That used to be called Taxation Without Representation.
Assessed values are about to go up again. Since the area is filthy rich because properties are worth more, all those taxing bodies on your property tax bill think you can afford to pay more.
That is called Taxing Unrealized Gains. That is no different from deciding to tax your 401K when the value is high and not refunding your money when the stock market drops.
Congrats! Illinois governments want you to leave. Successful people have and will continue to move to states that respect their citizens. This was the Illinois plan all along, poor people are easier to fleece.

And those currently receiving pensions are not living in state…and where are they? In a red state. The money is not being spent here!
You can thank the people who DIDNT vote in past elections. They stayed home and the far left party just keeps growing and taking your money.
